Lamb chop dinner

I grew up in cattle country. Beef was king!.
Never had mutton or lamb in the house. Tolorated wool, because it was warm.
So lamb of any sort is a novelty to me. This year, I tried lambs shank. I was told it would stink while and after it cooked. Not true.  I look forward to my next venture with this meat source.
Here is a meal plan that includes the broiled lamb recipe I posted a while back.

My December 15th card

My December 15th card.
I received  the snowman in a swap about 6 or 8 years ago.
The sentiment ia from a card I received last year.
The card base is from a pack of color cardstock from Walmart. I have a slightly smaller card inside that  is from the same pack and is orange, the local school colors

December 10th card

My December 10th card.
The sentiment is from an ad we got in the mail this past week.
The image is from a Cricut Cartridge called The 12 adays of Christnas, I think. I cut them our over 6 years ago.

Birthday card I made

Finished, today.
The background came from an old paper pad. It was not large enough on ita own to make a good background so I vcut it with a paper cutter and spread it apart , and lighten it up. It was rather dark looking, to me.
The sentiment  is  plain card stock, die cut and hand stamped.
My gold ibk pads pad came loose, so I improvised for the edges of the sentiment,  by running the edges on the pad at an angle to give it some color. The edge of the background  needed a bit of detail, so I ran a black marker along the edges. But it skipped at one place, so I made a similar  mark on the other side.

How to Gllitter Acorns

I know, it is the HEAT of Summer, right now.but just think, in just a few weeks, the Acorns and Pince cones are going to start dropping and I am going to want to make things with them.  I am going to ask around if I may pick up the pine cones that are in some people's yards. I can just jump out of the car with my basket or tote and pick up just a few, to bring home.
I love the idea of acorns. Even the fake ones make great decorations.
I can see using a few different colors of glitter for this project, can't you?

Halloween is coming

Yes, I know, it is still a few months away but Halloween is going to be here before we know it. I am looking for yard decorations to put out in our yard. and this one looks like a fun one to slip under our living room window.

I think the only change I might make is to add some  knees to the legs by wrapping the pool noodle with a little tape about halfway up them.

Great idea for any season, really

I am going to be making a few of these for this summer, to keep the bugs out of our drinks.

I can see that using a copy of  family members would help nidify which drink belongs t o who.
